FRAN DOWNEY
Born and raised in Philadelphia, lived and worked in printing in NYC for a few years, got married and then got real when it was time to start our family, Jeff and I moved to the beautiful town of
Bernardsville, NJ.
Did many things as our boys were growing up including, bartending, running my photo studio, getting my real estate license and launching a successful real estate marketing firm. With 13 years and 13,000 homes marketed via our company, Realty Graphics, and with the boys finishing high school it was time for a change and an adventure. We packed our valuables... including my mom, Marie, and Jeff's dad, Bill, and staked our claim here in Wilmington, NC. We pinch ourselves every day and can't believe we get to live in this little slice of heaven with just enough grit to make it interesting.
What I love... Coffee 24/7, Love where I live in Wilmington, NC with more beaches than I can count on two hands anchored by an historic and hip riverfront downtown. Love my husband Jeff, two boys -Chris in Chattanooga and Kyle in Chapel Hill, and two rescue puppies- Willoughby and Gidget. I keep myself out of trouble with pickleball, mahjong, working out, live music, good bourbon, and great friends. I keep myself out of debt and full of gratitude doing what I love opening doors and delivering dreams in real estate. Did I mention coffee?

North Carolina is and has always been home. In 1999 our family of four made the move from Durham to Wilmington NC. It was the best decision we could have made for our family.
My husband Doug and I started a lawn care business that same year and provided our boys Brandon and Josh with an opportunity to be part of the business. Years later after the lawn care business was established, I became a realtor. What can I say, serving others runs in the family.
My career in real estate started at Keller Williams Realty. I later joined Fathom Realty, where I enjoy working with buyers and sellers. Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of meeting new clients that have become friends.
Things that make me smile are spending time with my family and friends and long walks on the beach especially at sunrise and sunset. Most of all is a quiet afternoon swinging or napping on my swinging porch bed. Doesn’t take much to make me happy.

My husband and I met Fran last May while visiting the area. We were seriously thinking of relocating to the Wilmington area. Her enthusiasm, energy, and knowledge of the whole process were refreshing. We have dealt with many realtors in the past, both buying and selling, and never (and I mean NEVER) had one that has gone above and beyond like Fran has. She is the whole “relocation” package. Fran is absolutely the best of the best. She is more on top of things and more organized that any realtor we've ever dealt with. I sent her a few houses that I saw on Zillow at 2:30 in the afternoon and by 4 we were inside looking at them and she had all of the paperwork printed for each one, etc! She absolutely loves what she does and it pours over into her work and the enthusiasm that she shows in finding you the perfect house. I can not say enough good things about her and am recommending her to everyone I know!
